My dear and precious friend, Blake, taught me within the brief period of time that I was privileged to share my life-space with him that genuine friendship creates an eternal bond.  Within that bond, Blake is only a thought away.  Blake died suddenly and unexpectedly on December 21, 2007.  That day my life awakened to the PURPOSE for which I had been searching.  That PURPOSE is to share with the world the wonderful lessons of selfless love for others, compassion for living, and to judge not that Blake shared with me.

Blake was a person who could make a friend while standing in a check-out line.  He cared about his friends and family deeply and they knew it and cared for him as well.  Blake loved animals and children and they loved him too.  Blake cared so much he often described that he couldn’t “turn off” the thoughts.  He thought and thought and thought …

Like many of us struggling with young adulthood, Blake was overwhelmed at times with the responsibility of finding his purpose.  He often felt inadequate, sometimes even incapable.  Blake particularly felt that others judged him … that weighed heavy on his soul …

I believe that Blake would want others to know that we make this life harder than it has to be … all that really matters is that we love each other while we have the chance!

Blake loved to dance and he loved to charm a crowd.  He was a natural at both.
